Our Chocolate Lab Puppy Guarantee

We guarantee the health of the chocolate lab puppy you purchase for 14 days after you receive him/her. During this time, a visit to your veterinarian should be scheduled to have the puppy examined. If the puppy has been determined by your veterinarian to be not healthy, you will contact us and arrange to have the lab puppy returned for a refund of the purchase price or a replacement puppy, provided you provide us with the I.D. number from the micro-chip, all relevant veterinary records, xrays, and laboratory results. If you choose to have your veterinarian treat the puppy, we will pay the bill up to and not exceeding the purchase price of the puppy, again provided we receive all relevant veterinary records, xrays, and laboratory results. If you choose to return the puppy to us, all costs of shipment are your responsibility.

We do not guarantee that your chocolate labrador retriever puppy is suitable for breeding purposes and do not guarantee dew claws, undescended testicles, or any other non genetic defect. We cannot guarantee things that are out of our control. Obviously, we also cannot cover theft, accidental injury, or accidental death. We will not be responsible for veterinary expenses that exceed the purchase price of the puppy.

We do guarantee the puppy to be free from genetic defects for three years from the date of birth. This includes the hips, the eyes, and the elbows. If your puppy is showing actual physical symptoms of any of these defects we will need a statement from your veterinarian detailing the diagnosis, supported with all imaging, labratory results and any other pertinant veterinary examination records. We also reserve the right to have your puppy examined by our veterinarian at our cost. The guarantee will be refund of purchase price or a replacement puppy, your choice. Return of your puppy to us is not required.

There is no way that any breeder can be certain that all of their puppies are free from any genetic defects in the Labrador Retriever. Only by practicing careful, selective breeding can we keep the occurrences of these genes from arising at a minimum. Currently in our breeding program, we have a very low occurrence rate of any of the above mentioned genetic problems. When there is a problem, a reputable breeder will stand by his guarantee and do what is right by the customer.
